Hi all,

Today’s updates have been a scope change to your report preferences. Preferences are now stored per project and ticket type – so in one project, you can have different preferences for both bug and feature request reports.

When joining or creating a new project, your preferences for that project are populated with the “default” toggling and ordering for all available reports.

This defaulting mechanism only saves preferences when you decide to make changes – so it’s easy enough for us to add reports at a later date. Tails will just merge the new reports into your preferences when you first enable a newly-added report.

You can now edit your profile including extended contact information from the “my account” page.

You now have the option of making your profile public so that anyone can see your profile except for your telephone numbers, or private so that only people who you work with on projects can see your details at all.

The criteria for a projectmate are:

• Users who work on projects you own
• Users who own projects you work on
• Users who work alongside you on projects owned by a third party

Please check your profiles to make sure they’re rendering correctly!

Hi all,

You can now start inviting any users you need to your projects. The invitee will receive an invitation and an invite key which they can cash in for a project membership when they follow the link in the email.

Until launch though, they’ll have to substitute www.bugtails.com for the hostname of the development server.

Hey testy testers,

Floodlight is going offline for now as we’re on the official IE-patchin’, javascript-testin’, code-optimisin’ run-up to launch day.

A standard search option will appear in the next couple days, and floodlight itself will turn up with a spandeely new interface around a month after we first go live.

Your tickets are now allocated ID’s per project instead of globally. This’ll mean you won’t have to deal with ticket ID’s like #324230234 in the future.
