The customer email is requested twice within sign-up, presumably to catch mistakes on data entry.
Expected behaviour – email is entered once and then verified through as two stage confirmation process, validating that the email address is in use and non-fraudulent.
Actual behaviour – email is requested twice.
Reproduce – use current sign-up process.

Still thinking that validation is a good move when taking money from a user. This can be reopened if anyone has anything to add.

requesting an email address twice is more of a typo prevention tool than anything imo.
Although I agree that validation via email is a good thing.
