It would be great to be able to subscribe to an RSS feed that provides the equivalent to “Assigned to me and active” in RSS format.
Then, as incoming support is assigned to you, you can be kept up to date via RSS (like a ‘to do’ list).

Ted this would be awesome if reports could just be output as RSS feeds.

No, this is a good suggestion. The reports system is only just born and RSS is just one of the features we’ll be adding in time.
