It would be much neater if the UI just spoke with Twitter directly to post statuses. The only barrier is a scoping issue which is surely not too huge a problem. Nicer for the user’s impression of safety, too.
Alas, this is strewn with cross-domain security issues. Given that Chirrup is for general use, I’ll veto the inclusion of any sort of underhanded code designed to trick the browser.
Sticking it on hold until a solution presents itself.
